How to cook steak in instant potJune 16, 2020
Nowadays, as technologies have developed to make humans lives easier, they can do things faster and better than before. This concerns cooking too. So today delicious steak is to cook in instant pot.
First of all, a steak meat needed – about 0,5 to 1 kg (1,1 to 2,2 lbs) (depends on quantity of portions). Since instant pot does the cooking, any steak suits – whether it’s fragrant flank-steak, tough round steak, finest marble beef steak or pre-tenderized frozen cube steak, so no worries about softness.
But all of them need pre-cooking marination. To keep saturated meat taste and richen it, very few seasonings combinations are recommended to use. Among them – rosemary, cloves, mustard, basil and ground red pepper or garlic and Italian herbs, and, of course, salt.
Now, when all of the ingredients are known, let the preparation begin, starting with some meat.
Whatever meat is the chosen one for fine and quick dinner, it needs a good rinse and wipe (unless crunchy rind is wished). After that, it can be marinated either by dipping in olive oil with spices, or by rubbing with spices, and left for about 20-30 minutes.
All next steps are based on the way of marination: if slices are oily, there’s no need to pour more oil into the bowl, otherwise the meat will dry out fast and will taste more like rusk; but if it was rubbed with seasonings, 2 tablespoons of olive or sunflower oil in the bowl will be enough.
And now the great final – roasting using meat frying mode. How long it takes to get a perfectly soft or juicy and crusty steak from a multicooker? 5 to 10 minutes for each side at high, with lid closed or open respectively for tender slices or 7 minutes per side at high for steak with fine browned crust.
And unlike cooking on frying pan, there’s no chance for meat to be burnt – built-in timer reminds of cooking process, and if forgotten – just turns to low.
Delightful steak can become even more luring when served with complementing accoutrements like gravy, mushrooms, vegetables, salad leaves or caramelized onions.
