  • Egg 1 pc.
  • Salt 1/2 tsp.
  • Sugar 1 tsp.
  • Flour 2 cups
  • Potatoes 4-5 pcs.

Make dough for pierogies

Step 1.
In slightly heated water, beat the egg, salt and stir thoroughly. Gradually add the flour and mix well to get a fairly dense and elastic dough. Wrap it in cling film and leave for 30-40 minutes. “reach”.

  • 1/2 tbsp. lukewarm water

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • approx. 450 gr. flour


  • 500 gr. boiled meat (I have veal)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped and stewed with a small amount of oil)
  • salt
  • pepper, a little meat broth.
  • mushroom dressing:
  • 500 gr. mushrooms (champignons)
  • a handful of dry porcini mushrooms
  • 2 onions
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • salt. pepper.



Step 1.
Dissolve salt in water, add sour cream, stir well.

Step 2.
Add a beaten egg, butter and gradually adding flour, it may take less, knead a soft and elastic dough.

Step 3.
Give the dough a little rest, roll out and stick the dumplings.

Advices how to cook frozen pierogies

  • Before you cook frozen pierogies, so that they do not boil, you need to consider a number of rules that will help in the preparation of frozen dough products with any filling:
  • It is always better to take a low wide pan than a high and narrow one – the water will boil in it faster;
  • There should be a lot of water in the pan – about 2/3 of the pan;
  • Do not put many frozen pierogies in the pan at once – it is desirable that each of them has enough space after surfacing in one layer, so it is better to divide the cooking into two stages;
  • Even if you have a sweet filling, still at least a little salt water – salt will add flavor and prevent sticking products;
  • When cooking frozen pierogies, you can add a little vegetable oil to the water to prevent sticking;
  • If you cook frozen shop semi-finished products of machine modeling (without a pigtail) or glued by means of a pierogies, attentively watch a seam condition – if to overdo, they can stick together;
  • Throw frozen dough products only in boiling water, otherwise they may turn sour;
  • To speed up the boiling of water, throw salt in the beginning while the water is cold;

Pierogies in the air fryer

This dish is very reminiscent of everyone’s favorite fried pierogies. But there is a significant difference – fried pierogies are cooked before frying, and fried pierogies are thrown raw into the air fryer.

  • Wheat flour 350 g
  • Hot water 200 ml
  • Vegetable oil 3 st. spoons
  • Salt 0.5 tsp
  • Eggs 1 pc + 1 pc
  • Mashed potatoes 400 g
  • Cottage cheese 200 g


Step 1.
Sift flour into a large bowl. Add vegetable oil and boiling water to the flour. Quickly mix the flour with boiling water.

Step 2.
In a saucer or small bowl, break one egg. Add half a teaspoon of salt to the egg. Beat the egg with salt with a fork or whisk.

Step 3.
Add the beaten egg to the bowl with the dough and mix everything. Note that the egg can only be added to the cooled dough, otherwise the egg may brew.

Step 4.
Knead the dough until smooth and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Step 5.
Peel the potatoes, cook until cooked and mash with a grater until smooth. Add salt. If desired, you can also add butter. Add cottage cheese, one raw egg to a bowl with potatoes and mix everything.

Step 6.
Roll out the dough as thin as possible. With the help of improvised means, cut out round pancakes from the dough, which will become blanks for future pierogies.

Step 7.
Put the filling on each piece and carefully clamp the edges of the pierogies.

Step 8.
Boil pierogies in salted boiling water. As soon as the water in the pan boils, lower the pierogies into it, mix them lightly with a skimmer so that they do not stick to the bottom of the pan.
